Plug-and-play upgrade for the LCD 4 with 5 s results
The LCD 4 XID snaps onto any LCD 4 and adds solid and liquid sampling so you can detect over 20 explosives, narcotics and low-volatility agents in about five seconds. It keeps the detector under 2 kg, works six hours on its own battery and meets MIL-STD-810 for harsh missions.

Description
LCD 4 XID turns the wearable LCD 4 vapour detector into a full trace detector without tools or extra training. A handheld probe collects residue from surfaces; the adapter heats and vaporises the sample, then passes it to the LCD 4’s non-radioactive IMS for rapid analysis. Operators in Level A PPE get a clear visual and audio alarm in roughly five seconds, even in rain, sand or vibration from −10 °C to +46 °C. The kit ships with a protective pouch and consumable swabs, logs results to USB and reverts the LCD 4 to vapour mode when removed. The result: wider threat coverage with the lowest cost and weight in its class.
